The Disaster Strikes! series from Coteau Books is aimed at kids (and grown-ups!) who love discovering little known stories from Canadian history. Each book puts a young protagonist into a real-life disaster, combining fact and fiction with terrifying action and difficult choices. Flood, tornado, tsunami, shipwreck -- If your world was suddenly turned upside down, what would you do?

Breaking Big, is about a different kind of challenge. Written for young adult readers, it's part of Orca Books' Limelights series about the world of teen performers.
